Sir,
     I would respectfully request that you make an
immediate return of all government property now in
your possession and also a statement of all articles
expended by you in your department since the 14th
day of August last.  I would particularly request that
your returns, both of property on hand and of articles
expended, be of the most minute description, as it is
necessary for me to have this return to be enabled to
make a proper statement to the Qr Mrs Dept of the
manner in which articles purchased by the Balloon
Corps has been used.
